If you’ve been following my blog a bit or checked out my updated “About” section you will know I’m in the process of moving!
The plan as it stands right now is to head out to Redding, CA mid August. I do have finances to cover the rest of my time here in Cairo.
Below are some specific ways I could use prayer, though, in the transition!
Pray for Housing. I really have it in my heart to be in a house, with lots of rooms so that many people can live in community together, and many more can lay their heads down as they sojourn through Redding. Join me in praying for God to provide the perfect place.
Pray for the actual move - packing, driving, relocating.
Pray for provision – for a job when I get there, if this is how the Lord desires to provide.
Pray for transitioning back to being a student!
Pray for writing connections – I really desire to set aside time to write while I’m in Redding, I’m praying that God would connect me to someone who could walk alongside me, mentor me, or publish me ;o), or something as I walk in this. Maybe that the Lord would connect me with like-minded writers and we could be like CS Lewis and Tolkein, hanging out at Chipotle, talking about writing and releasing the Kingdom together!
Pray for ending well, and the process of saying “goodbye” (for a while) to my friends and family here.
