I’m truly on a journey of falling more in love with the Lord every day. He has led me on quite a little trek thus far in my life and I am excited about the plans He has for me in the coming seasons.
Since the summer of 2003, I have called a small town in southern Illinois home. Cairo has been a training ground of sorts for me to uncover and discover God’s love, His Kingdom, His Word, the beauty of community, the power of prayer, and the delight of worship and loving others. The Holy Spirit is an incredible teacher.
And in the midst of this season I have stumbled upon some Kingdom passions within.
I desire to see the next generation raised up, walking in more understanding of Jesus and His Kingdom. I love teaching and I love writing, and my prayer is that God would use both these gifts to equip the young ones to walk with Him.
I have a soft spot for the down-trodden, the orphans, the hidden, and the neglected.
I believe God loves families and tribes and gathering His children into transformational communities wherever they are at.
I hope that my life would be a simple vessel for His love.
I want to follow the cloud and watch my Papa work, and allow Him to use me wherever He places my feet.
August of 2009 will find me following that cloud to a new season with the Lord. I am moving to Redding, California to pursue a teaching credential at Simpson University and get involved at life at Bethel Church. I’m praying that the Lord would use this season to further equip me to pour into little ones the realities of the Kingdom and train me up as a writer for His glory!

Sara, can you tell me how to get in touch with Thomas Simpson? We served with him last year and his voice mail box is full, so if there is another way to contact him that you are aware of, that would be great. Thanks!
