ahhh… There’s nothing like a brand new blog to get your creative juices all flowing. I guess I just wanted a place that was wild and free, where my wit could embark unencumbered. Where the elk and antelope play and seldom is heard…there is a certain hush here, eh? Something soothing about this new set up. Well, for those of you just joining us, welcome to my new blog. I hope to use this space as a way to connect with friends and family about my life according to God’s playbook. Currently He’s got me set up as an intercessory missionary in a small town in Illinois. I spend time here praying for the community, working with kids, pressing into becomming the worshipper God desires, and doing what this dusty frame will allow me to do to live out an Isaiah 58 /Psalm 27 lifestyle. I desire for people to know Jesus, and to experience the love He has for them….not the surface level “Jesus loves me, this I know” love, but the unrelenting “you take my breath away, creation, with one small acknowledgement that I exist” love.
I have a sweet spot for orphans. If I had the resources I’d probably adopt half the world’s children just to sing them lullibies and rock them to sleep. I love these little hidden precious ones of the Lord’s. I love families and how God desires His children to be part of His family and a family to each other. I love the place of prayer and how it’s changed my life over the past year. I love board games and jigsaw puzzles, dreaming of being a superb swing dancer someday, painting (though I rarely find time to do it), watching the Vicar of Dibley, and drinking hot tea. I love going on treasure hunts with the Holy Spirit as He reveals deeper truths of the Lord through the Word. I loved living in England growing up and hope someday to return, even just for a visit. I love the mountains and hammocks. To fresh beginnings…
